A Little LUSH Haul

It's no secret that I LOVE lush and within the last few months they have released all new products and made little changes to some of the old ones. I bought some at the end of august and thought I would share with you what I picked up. It's manly some of the newest products but I threw in one or two of my old favourites as well.
The Experimenter I don't know about you, but I've heard all about this bath bomb. You can tell it's going to be colourful when you drop it into your bath, but I've not used it yet. I really really like the scent of this, I find it to be warming, relaxing and for some reason it makes me smile. I think Lush have perfectly captured a classic sweet shop with a slightly deeper more relaxing scent (if that makes any sense, haha).
Intergalactic Bath Bomb I was debating whether to pick this one up because the main scent is mint and I'm not the biggest fan. However this bath bomb is a different kettle of fish (what a strange saying), I don…

Hello Autumn

I've been super excited for Autumn this year and I can't wait for the weather to get colder and for the autumn colours to cover my town. I thought with that I would tell you all the things - big and small - that I love about autumn.
Autumn Leaves Hot Chocolates Oversized Jumpers Scented Candles & More Candles Fairy Lights Rainy Days Halloween Frosty Mornings Ankle Boots Salted Caramel (I had a doughnut this flavour today, it was sooo good) Onesies Fireworks Baking More School Show Rehearsals Darker Evenings Bubbles baths (an increased amount) Scarves Hats Berry Lips Fluffy Socks Watching Harry Potter Reading More Books Smoky Eyes Burgundy/Mustard/Orange Shades

I'm so excited for Autumn! What are you looking forward to? XO

A Slightly Different Smoky Eye

I was messing around with make up the other day and seeing what I could come up with for Autumn. After a while I finished up and loved the look so I thought I would share it with you! For me, it's slightly out of my comfort zone because I prefer to go with a nude eye and occasionally switch up, going for a brighter, darker or different lip colour.
Anyway, I started on the eyes and coated my lip with the palest shade from the Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3. I particularly focused it on my tear duct area to balance out the dark look which would soon appear. After that I went in with the darkest brown matte shade in my crease to add definition. Finishing it with a bit of the grey and then the sparkly purple over the top of the outer corner to create a smoky effect. You could add mascara here but I chose to use the black out of my No7 Beneath the Morning Skies Palette to line my eyes and them blended out. Now I finished of with mascara which is the Roller Lash by Benefit.

The Blog Tour Tag

I have another tag for you today - not many left! It's one I have heard and read many times but never been nominated for, until now. Thank you to the wonderful Rosalyn Writes, if you haven't read her blog them definitely go and check it out!
HOW DOES YOUR WORK DIFFER FROM OTHERS IN YOUR GENRE? It differs because it's mine. I know that's the same old answer but it's true. All photos are mine and everything is written by me, from my own perspective. Although I get inspiration from other people, no two posts are the same.
HOW DOES YOUR WRITING/CREATIVE PROCESS WORK? Sometimes I have dozens and dozens of post ideas and I start writing them all on here - saving as a draft and other times I have nothing so simply don't post. I like to take inspiration from the blogs I enjoy, my life and my thoughts. I take my photos before writing the post because it gives me a better feel of how I want the post to look. Some are planned, edited again and again or some are purely sp…

the last remains of summer

Since the end of winter, beginning of spring and all of summer I have been promising a photography post dedicated to my floral photos, so that's exactly what this post is! I have collected together my top 5 flower photos to celebrate the end of summer, it's something a little different so I hope you enjoy it!

1. Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. If you follow me on instagram (or any other social media, for that matter) you have probably seen this photo. I took it around March I think (feels like yesterday!) when walking to school. It's just a bunch of flowers which are sprouting out of the pavement on my road and I eventually captured them in a photo. I now pass the remaining leaves each day and can't wait to see them bloom again.

2, You will notice a recurring pattern of white flowers, so to mix it up I threw in this shot. I took it on Monday - completely by accident. I spotted these flowers whilst travelling and didn't have long …

The 4th Blogger Tag | Liebster Award

I've been VERY  busy the last few days with rehearsals for my schools show and homework that I just haven't been generating blog post ideas! So, when I saw the wonderful Em's World comment on my previous post - which was an Autumn Make Up Look here (shameless promo haha) I decided to share my answers! Thanks Em :)
This is the 4th Liebster Award I have been nominated for now, so I'm sure you all know the drill but if you're new here (Hello!) then here are the rules:
Once nominated, make a post thanking and linking your nominator's blog.Include the Liebster Award's sticker in the post as well (you can copy it from above).Nominate 10 other new bloggers that have 200 or less followers who you think are worthy of this award and include their links in your post. Autumn Make Up Look | Collab with India Jasmine

I was wearing this make up look the other day and received so many compliments that I thought I would share it with you! Then the wonderful India Jasmine approached me asking to collaborate and of course I said yes! There will be links to her look below - make sure you pop over and say hello! This look is quite subtle and I think it perfectly transitions from Summer to Autumn!
I don't like to cake on my face make up but like many people I like to have a bit of coverage, so I start by popping some of the Seventeen Stay Time concealer on any blemishes and redness I have - mines the shade fair. It's a great concealer and lasts quite a while although I'm not sure about the 18 hours claim... I also use the Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 concealer and highlighter under my eyes in the shade 030 Classic Beige. I have never really been a blush person but recently my favourite part of my make up has been adding a bit of colour to my cheeks with the Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in …

Tag, you're it! | Blogger Interview

I was binge reading blogs, as you do and I didn't realise that the wonderful Grace Kate had nominated me for this tag, thank you! I hadn't seen this post going round but I think it's a lovely idea which is aimed at getting to know about blogging, for both readers and bloggers. Let's get into the questions!
HOW DID YOU GET INTO BLOGGING? Late 2013 I decided I wanted to start a blog but I didn't really know how to ask my parents (if it's going to be online then you want someone you can go to if it all goes wrong..). So for christmas 2013 I asked my parents if I could start a blog they said yes and I've been here ever since!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO BEGINNER BLOGGERS? I have been asked many many times to write a full blog post on this (but still haven't) so let me know if that is something you would like to see. However my top three tips are: 1. BE YOURSELF. This may seem obvious but people can really tell when you are being fake or trying to copy so…

My Hair Care Routine

When I came to write today's blog post I reached a dilemma... my brain wasn't generating any blog post ideas as my attention has been focused on the many nominations which I have received for blog award posts and tags (thank you everyone, it really means a lot!). So, looking for some blog inspiration I scrolled back through my posts and discovered I had never written about my hair care routine. This is probably because it's always been the standard shampoo and condition every few days but as I have gotten more into styling my hair in different ways (trying to sway away from my go-to messy bun) I've been trying more products. I also ombr├ęd my hair  for the first time in July! It was the first time I ever dyed my hair!
I'm just going to throw out there that I have think straight hair which is around medium length and I got dyed for the first time in July. So with that, what works for me may not work for you.
WASHING In the shower I use the standard shampoo and condit…

The 3rd Blogger Tag | Liebster Award

These posts seem to come all at once! I've been nominated for a few of these tags recently and I want to thank the lovely Vintage Fleur for this nomination and her wonderful questions! You should all definitely go and check out her blog if you haven't seen it already.
1. Once nominated, thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
2. Include the Liebster Award sticker in the post too.
3. Nominated some new bloggers - let them know they've been nominated.
4. Answer the 10 questions and ask 10 more.

THE QUESTIONS: 1. What do you enjoy most about blogging? Can I say EVERYTHING? There isn't one aspect of blogging which I don't enjoy. It makes me particularly happy when you guys send me messages or comment on my posts. I also love that it has given me more confidence.
2. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? I haven't visited America or Australia - so they are definitely on my list but if I could go anywhere (safely o…

LUSH Tisty Tosty

Back in July I had never picked up Tisty Tosty Bath Ballistic from LUSH but thanks to my parents and my lovely friend Jess I got two for my birthday!
Sometimes I want a bath with a little something without over powering scents and bright colours, this is definitely going to be my go to bath bomb for that.  It's a beautiful white heart shape with seven purple dried ruse buds that are released into the water as it fizzes away. I also LOVE the scent. It's quite floral and I can definitely smell the rose oil but it's not overpowering and when in the bath makes me feel quite calm and relaxed - LUSH have got it just right.
This bath bomb probably isn't for even one but I love it and will definitely be a staple in my bath bomb basket! XO

3. I'm currently loving the Tanya Burr Nail Varnish in Little Duck.
4. My favourite social media site is Instagram!

1. Emmie Bee
2. Jubilee Coast
3. Ripped Jeans Clifford

August Product of the Month

It's come to the time when I announce my product of the month! *drum roll please* I have been LOVING the No7 Beautifully Matte Make Up Base.  I have never used a primer before and for sometime I have been looking for one which wasn't too expensive - in case I didn't like it. When I spotted this primer on the reduced stand in Boots I grabbed it because No7 products seem to work well with my skin.  I find that a little of this product goes a long way and although it gives a matte finish to the skin I can still achieve a radiant dewy make up look (that doesn't budge from my skin).  I've used this product on (extremely) hot days and colder days - both times it has worked brilliantly. The packaging is also a perfect size and shape to fit into a make up bag.

I will definitely be experimenting with more primers after this, what's your product of the month? XO
