I, like it seems many other people my age, really like ripped jeans (especially baggy ripped jeans), they just seem to fit my shape quite well and I feel comfortable and confident in them. However, I always reach a point with my ripped jeans where the rips are just too big and the whole garment has become wayy too baggy for them to be flattering... not great.

If you haven't realised already it's pretty important to me that I don't just throw things away, especially with clothing items and in the world we live in these days it's actually super easy to either recycle what you wear, sell it or donate to a charity shop (I'll definitely do another more detailed post on these points if you'd like? let me know in the comments). Last year I bought a pair of mom jeans from River Island as they seem to be a company which design and make jeans that fit me perfectly (they're also pretty good ethically too: read more here), however after A LOT of wear I haven't bee…

I can't remember when I started wearing make up daily, I think - for me - it was a gradual thing and even now I don't wear it seven days a week. I probably slap the products on my face Monday to Friday and even then not particularly much (unless I fancy a bit of a glow or definition).  Make up has become a key part of my morning routine. I wash my face, eat breakfast, get dressed and then do my hair, do my make up. It sets me up for the day and makes me feel put together. I wouldn't call it a necessity for my day to get going, I often don't wear it at weekends or even right now (midweek as I'm writing this) because I'm on study leave but it adds a little something extra to my morning routine and I love the way it enhances my natural features. Draws attention to the things I like about myself, rather than the parts of me I'm not so keen on.
Like everyone, I have my insecurities. I don't often talk about them but they're there, so if you'd like …

The evening is my happy place,  when the world switches off. all the birds stop tweeting and all noise is lost.
The weight of the day is lifted, my surroundings are at peace, with every minute that passes I begin to breathe.

A frame of fairy lights twinkles,
the moon comes out to play,
all my worries fade, it's the end of another day.

Today's post: a full guide to slowing down in a busy world and living for the most minutes of the day.

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, I definitely don't know how to make the most out of every second of every day. I don't think anyone ever could. We need to make time for the 'boring' things which keep us healthy or happy. We also need to feel emotions, and when they're negative it's very hard to not feel like the we're wasting precious time, be assured you're not. However what I am going to say is that I'm trying to do is capture the best moments and living for the most minutes in our day by giving myself and my all to everything I do when I do it.
I've accepted that when I do that it may come across as obsessive, it may come across as full on, it may be too much at times but I'm going to live my life for me. Not you, not my neighbour, not my best friends or any boyfriend I ever have. As, you see, these people may (or may …

Pinch, punch first of the month, happy June babes!
2017 is flying by and I'm struggling to catch it, sometimes it feels like I'm running of a treadmill and although I'm just about keeping up, the speed is slightly too high and there are moments when my little legs are struggling to carry me forward. I'm currently half way through my external AS exams in Biology and Chemistry: two down, two to go (wish me luck!) and the little friend that is stress keeps popping up at the most inconvenient of times so June is becoming my month of self love. If I've learnt anything this year it's to start caring for yourself and doing things to make you happy (nurture your mind) and healthy (your body is a temple). Note: happiness and health are no one size fits all and what works for you/me/anyone won't always work for someone else.
Self care, self love, self anything is really really difficult. I try to put so much help and energy into other people that I often forget to t…

Thursday Thoughts is back, shout it from the roof tops, jump for joy and don't forget to email me ( if you would like to guest post!  I hope you guys like my new blog design, it seems to be constantly changing so I'm not too sure how long this one will last but for now I'm really feeling the yellow (especially with summer coming closer and closer!). I'm trying a new direction with my blog, so expect posts with more photos and less text, apart from on Thursdays, they're for my thoughts.

Spill the Beans Q&A with Lou Loves

This post is a collaboration with the lovely Lou Loves! I've been reading her blog for a while now and love it, head over to have a read of her question answers.

I really want to do more chatty posts so that I can engage with you guys and so that you can get to know me, as a blogger, better. The feedback I got back on my most recent rambling post (click herefor a read) was really encouraging and I never really think as my blog as a place to sit down and chat about things on my mind but that's what I would like it to be, so that's what I'm going to make it.
What inspires you? @urghitsarah Who inspires you and why? @blossomandaisyy I'd say there are many things and people that inspire me so I really couldn't just name one. All my friends inspire me for different reasons, the things thy conquer in everyday life and the way they achieve their goals encouraged me to keep dreaming and reaching higher in my personal life. However bloggers, no matter home many followers,…

OUTFIT: Jeans Ripped at the Seams

Okay... so I'm not really too sure what to write for an outfit post but I fancied doing one as I had these photos from a recent trip to the seaside and not much time as I've been in London over the Easter weekend (photos coming from both trips very soon!) so here's some photos and a short summary of what I'm wearing. Click the shops to be taken to the page!

Monday Mayhem

Prepare yourself for a long, ramble-filled post containing a collection of my thoughts that when put together on one web page, like this, probably don't make sense.
As you're reading this I'm sat on the beach, hopefully the sun is shining but living in England the rain could be pouring, you just never know. However, as I'm writing this I'm sat in my very tidy room: hoovered, dusted and organised, it's a very nice place to be. My hair is soaking wet, Boots own-brand tea tree & witch hazel charcoal face mask sinking into my skin (5 minutes to go) and my spotify chill playlist on shuffle (current song: I Want You by The Kooks). I couldn't be bothered lighting a candle but my fairy lights are twinkling and I feel calm, at peace. Are you able to sense any tranquility through this post? I'm certainly feeling it.
I feel like this is a case of long time, no blog. I do believe a month is the longest I've gone without writing a blog post since 2014 (the b…

Thoughts on the Waitrose Pure Micellar Water

Back in February 2016 I decided to go vegetarian and with that, transition all my make up and skin care to cruelty free brands. Like many others, I used to swear by the Garnier Micellar cleansing water to remove my make up and it works an absolute treat, as well as being within budget, but sadly isn't cruelty free. So, I began the hunt for a high street, cruelty free micellar water.

Believe #ThursdayThoughts

Today I have another wonderful and inspiring guest post from Abbie who writes over on!

Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed a recurring theme around me. As we get older, we’re forced to talk about what we want to do in life and when we answer all these questions about our life plan, i’m sure that at least once, you’ve received the same old “You’re not good enough” or “Let’s be realistic”. I’m sick of it; why should someone else control our life and try to direct us down a path in life with their insignificant opinions?

Mystery Blogger Award

I'm feeling as if I'm finally back into blogging and couldn't be happier. Every corner I walk around I seem to get a new idea and have so many posts saved as drafts! Get excited because I know I am. Not to mention your continuous support means more than I can put into words.

Hobbies #ThursdayThoughts

Today I have a guest post for you which was written by the lovely Kizzi May. I really enjoy reading her posts and think you will too so hop on over and show some support! You can find all her links at the end of the post!
For a long time, I always thought that I was a boring person that had nothing interesting to talk about as I had no interesting hobbies to talk about. I always felt there was an awkward silence whenever someone asks the dreaded question "So, what do you like to do?" as I felt no one would want to know about my love for reading or the strange little craft obsession I had at the time as I felt they weren't really hobbies. But, I recently concluded that they are things that I love doing and spending hours of my free time to, so as a matter of a fact, they are my hobbies, so why shouldn't I tell people about them? It shouldn't matter that others might find it insanely boring (they shouldn't have asked if they weren't interested, should they?…

Looking Ahead in 2017

I'm all about living in the now this year but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the things I have to look forward to over the next year. I'm writing this post so that in the moments I feel down or don't have anything to look forward to or work towards or appreciate I can refer back to this and let go of any worry or use it as motivation and I strongly encourage you to do the same! (If you do or are going to please let me know in the comments and I'll pop along to read it!!)

New Year? New Blog!

Happy New Year!!
I can't believe 2017 is finally here. It feels like I've been waiting for the whole month of December for a fresh start because I just couldn't kick one of over the festive period and I needed time to plan, think and start doing things, so that when new year came around I could just step into it and that's exactly what I feel happened. Although I woke up in the same bed (maybe slightly later than usual) and walked down stairs to be greeted by the same loving family I just feel better. Like a reset button had been pressed in my mind.
